Thoughts about Christ’s sacrifice.

How does it even make any sense at all?  The Righteous for the Unrighteous?  Perfection for the Imperfect?  You got to be kidding me!

To reject what Christ has done for YOU is nothing short of idiocy.

He took YOUR punishment.  He bore YOUR sin.  His blood was spilled to make YOU clean.

—->  All for what?

-      For you to live your life the way you think you should?

-      For you to insist that you know what’s better for yourself?

-NO.

——->  But to give you access to Himself.  For you to be able to inherit His everlasting life.  To share in all the riches of His goodness.  To lavish His love on YOU.

   Let’s get over ourselves.

   Let’s get right with Him.

Let’s worship Him and live a life that reflects what He came to do.

Thank You, Lord for being an awesome Savior!  Thank You for completeing what You came to do.  Thank You for doing what I could not.  Thank You for your LOVE.

“Spiritual Leadership is not defined by the passion to rule, but by the passion to SERVE”
- J. Oswald Sanders
[Mark 10:45] - For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and give His life a ransom for many.

May we who desire complete conformity to Christ learn from His example and choose to be slave of all!

“The Earth is Yours” - Gungor

Your voice it thunders
The oaks start twisting
The forest sounds with cedars breaking
The waters see You and start their writhing
From the depths a song is rising

Now it’s rising from the ground

Holy, Holy
Holy, Holy Lord
The earth is Yours and singing
Holy, Holy
Holy, Holy Lord
The earth is Yours
The earth is Yours

Your voice it thunders
The ground is shaking
The mighty mountains now are trembling
Creation sees You
And starts composing
The fields and trees they start rejoicing.

Now it’s rising from the ground
It’s rising from the ground
Hear us crying out
Hear us crying out

Holy, Holy
Holy, Holy Lord
The earth is Yours and singing
Holy, Holy
Holy, Holy Lord
The earth is Yours
The earth is Yours

Out of the depths I have cried to You, O LORD. Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. if You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O LORD, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared. I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, and in His word do I hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than the watchmen for the morning; indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning. O Israel, hope in the LORD; for with the LORD there is lovingkindness, and with Him is abundant redemption. And He will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

[Psalm 130]

I didn’t really know what to expect from this morning’s devos.  These past few days have been amazingly rich, but each new day brings a sense of anticipation of the unknown - an eagerness to see what the Lord wants to speak into my life.  And guess what?  - His Word didn’t disappoint - not that it EVER does!

There were 3 couplets of verses that really stood out to me.

  1. In v.3&4 - “If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O LORD, who could stand?  But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared.”
  2. In v.5&6 - Waiting for the Lord more than the watchmen for the morning
  3. In v.7&8 - Hoping in the LORD because with Him there is lovingkindness and abundant redemption

I encourage you to look at this Psalm, read it over a few times, and the meditate on what these 3 couplets mean for you and me.

It really blessed me and I know it will bless you!

-my devos for today-

[Chorus]
Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name

The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning
It’s time to sing Your song again
Whatever may pass, and whatever lies before me
Let me be singing when the evening comes

[Chorus]
Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name

You’re rich in love, and You’re slow to anger
Your name is great, and Your heart is kind
For all Your goodness I will keep on singing
Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find

[Chorus]
Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name

And on that day when my strength is failing
The end draws near and my time has come
Still my soul will sing Your praise unending
Ten thousand years and then forevermore

[Chorus x2]
Bless the Lord, O my soul
O my soul
Worship His holy name
Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name

Jesus, I’ll worship Your holy name
Lord, I’ll worship Your holy name

Sing like never before
O my soul
I’ll worship Your holy name
Jesus, I’ll worship Your holy name
I’ll worship Your holy name
